Apple currently has 4% overall marketshare. I think it will grow more now that Apple is becoming stronger and more popular.

Never. You cant take over the market with propriety hardware and an OS you wont license to anyone else.

In my country it is hard to see any computer with Mac OS on it. Let alone End Users even the Corporates doesnt have it, they are using either Linux or windows depends on the domain really..

at the moment there is no way that i can see a game like Crysis on a MAC system isn't it :)

no, but linux variants will. particularly in the third world and europe, where governments are wising up to the dangers of the M$ tax and realizing the benefits to be gained from widespread adoption of open source software. this will occur within the next 10 years.

I'll bet you everything you own that Linux doesn't overtake Windows in 10 years. I'm not even sure it'll gain any significant amount of market share.

No.

Apple is too retarded to ever become a serious competitor.

Now if they actually decided to start selling their OS for dirt cheap to anyone, & for any computer, they might be able to actually become a player.

sorry not gonna happen. It's market share might grow but when people have to buy apple own hardware its gonna have a hard time gaining any big chunk.

If apple feels there software is superior, sell it on its own and open the software up to billions of combination of hardware and see if there software can hold up.

Majority of people have PC at there place in INDIA but only 5 to 10 % of them have Internet connection. i dont think they can afford Vista as of now and there isnt any buzz about it either.

iPods are a massive success but OS X is not and never will be.

Besides, a significant percent of Mac owners still run Windows via Boot Camp, Parallels, etc. because they need to run some Windows-only applications that will never be ported.

Apple dramatically overprices its products. I see it as remaining a niche player, never achieving market dominance.

Come On, LINUX!
