Now they need to put some relay satellites up between Mars and Earth.

Internet from Mars anyone?
As nice as that sounds, it really won't work too well. Mars and Earth revolve around the sun at different speeds, meaning their distance apart constantly changes, putting the sun in between them at times. There's no good place, to my knowledge, that you could put a useful satellite because of this.

PS Yahoo! We beat the Martian Defense Grid.😀 Up yours, Mars! 😛

What video's? We don't have a camera on mars filming it. The closest to what happened are those animations. We may get images from thee rover tonight, but not live video from the landing.

that's what I meant, pictures. I read from CNN that they take pictures at amazing resolution. It's going to be awesome =)

No, Fox has a crew there as we speak! President Bush planned this landing to happen at this time for maximum political utility, of course the administraton gave Fox News the exclusive...

Just read this in an article on CNEWS... "Once the rovers begin taking pictures and transmitting them, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory intends to post most of the images on the Web as soon as they are received on Earth." Good stuff =)

WTF!? CNN is a rerun or what?
Yeah, it was a rerun.

That is great news... NASA didn't botch the unit conversion and loaded the correct amount of fuel this time around.

Beat those europeans yes..except that it's their first try to put a probe on another planet. I'll laugh myself senseless though if they pick up a signal from Beagle 2.
