Poll: will Gmail ever come out of beta?

Why should they? If they take it out of beta, then they have to start supporting it a lot more than they already do.
 
i think they eventually will. i thought google news was still in beta (it was for a very long time) but now i checked, and it's no longer in beta. but the beta status gives them an excuse for problems.
 
Isn't it out of beta in austrailia? or was that just sign ups are now completely open (no phone required)?

It will eventually come out of beta, but they probably don't have any compelling reason to do so.
 
What makes gmail any different than hotmail or yahoo mail? I haven't used gmail and would like to know if it has any advantages over hotmail.
