Poll: Will Fastrac100 work well with 850chipset moboard and P4 1.5 gig?

I just finished building a computer thats got an Asus P4T Moboard w/a P4 1.5 and 256 mgs of RDram 800. My question is this; will this thing run even faster with the addition of a Promise Raid Card? I have already put it in, and if anything, it seems slower. The Raid card is sharing an IRQ with my Intel Pro 100 NIC. If that's a problem, how do I go about changing it so the Raid Card has an IRQ of its own? Or should I have left it alone, and yank out the Raid Card? tia
