Considering that only half of the people voted for either one of them indicates to me that regardless of who wins, he'll only ever have the support of half the people. The other half will ridicule him.

My guess is that either the media will crucify him (which would probably happen anyway...), or some unhappy camper will post him/herself on top of a building somewhere and snipe 'em first chance they get.

Too bad there wasn't a better choice of candidates:( -kd5-

Of course they will. But, they did the same thing to Reagan, and he was one of the most popular Presidents in history. President-Elect Bush will be just fine because, unlike Bore, he's actually a decent human being. He will be well liked by the public, and once they're on his side, the democrats will crumble.

CNN now has Bush 961 ahead according to the offical recount with 66/67 counties results included.

Bush has won. But, that doesn't mean that Gore isn't going to try and weasel his way in.
