I don't know ANYBODY who doesn't think this is so damn stupid. And there are literally billions of people who don't do it. Somebody in Congress needs to put forward legislation to be done with this sh*t. Keep us on summer time and be done with it.

Because back when people still used candles it might have maybe made a difference.
Everything now says the usage stays about the same just more sun in the eyes either to or from work.

DST is bullshit. My body is tuned to the sun, and when you fuck with the sun, you fuck with my body. It needs to be left alone, and any person or company that wants to adjust when they're active can change /their/ schedule, not mine.

It is really stupid. Up until 2005, Indiana wasn't observing DST and it was great. It changed because the governor and others convinced people it would save Indiana money in electricity costs.

A study a couple years ago found that it actually cost us more money. Thanks guys!

I kind of like it. Gives me more sunlight in the evening after work when I actually have the time to enjoy it. In the morning I just eat breakfast and rush to the bus, so sunlight or not doesn't matter.

you get later days in the summer. it means there's more daylight after you get out of work, allowing you to do more stuff. this is WELL worth it, even if it costs a little more money.

Right, so let's keep it that way...Then we get later days in the winter, too.

Um, billions of people not doing it doesn't mean anything...
Since you seem to think that the number of people using a system makes it better, here's an idea:
Have a single time zone for THE ENTIRE US with no daylight savings.

India has a single timezone (also it's offset by half an hour).
China has a single timezone.
That's nearly HALF of the world right there using a single timezone in a large country.

Therefore, since billions of people using a single timezone in their country, the US should use a single timezone as well.

GOOOOOOOOOOO LOGIC!

I don't know, yes it's a hassle, I made a list today... finally. I have 12 things to change. I've still got a few to go. Used to not be such a big deal but nowadays there are so many devices that have to be set to the right time. It's not for my convenience, I think it's probably more for commercial purposes for which it probably makes sense. If it enhances productivity it's worth it, being the thinking.
