Poll: Why do gay men sometimes introduce themselves as...

I don't go around and introduce myself as straight...

I'm just curious, no harm intended...

btw, keep it clean, I don't want this thread locked...I just want the other side to come in here and have a healthy discussion....

Actually a lot of gay people don't need to introduce themselves as gay. Many of them act so gay it's impossible not to tell they're gay.

I vote that they just want to know how you will react. Gays are used to getting bashed. They need to know if you are comfortable enough in your sexuality to accept them.

often times, when I say nothing, I can see a little panic. but if I respond, I often see relief.

My only reasoning is A) they want to make sure you're not an ignorant asshole before they waste their time talking to you.
B) They are cruising for sex.

In this country, I would have to say it's mostly A.

this one girl I was seeing hung out with a bunch of gay guys. I partied with them one night and it was one of the most fun nights I have ever had. Plus the girl loved the fact that I didn't judge her friends.

BTW, gay guys always hang out with hot womens....
