Both hail from Detroit. Both are white guys who hit it big in a traditionally black musical genre. Kid Rock leans a little more towards rock n roll while Eminem is pure rap. Who do you think has more god given musical talent and why?

As much as I can't stand either one of their music, I'd have to say Kid Rock. I went and saw him in concert once, he opened for Metallica w/ a few other bands, and he ended up playing what musta been more than half of the instruments on stage, and seemed like he generally knew what he was doing w/ em.

Eminem just talks fast.

Ugh, I can't believe Kid Rock is in the same sentence with "talent" without the word "NO"

Maybe he is talented at playing musical instruments, but he needs to work on songwriting talent.

I like the song KidR sings with...what's her name?

Alicia Keyes? Shania Twaine? Gwen Stefani? It'll come.

The bottom line is they both suck...
So who's more talented? Which ever one actually has me download a song of theirs, or buy a CD.

I think they are both talented, but I think Eminem is more so. While I don't like to many rappers, I do listen to some(probably 30% of the music I listen to)some, and of them I think he's the most talented, especially in free flow, which contrary to popular belief, is not easy to do at all. One thing I will say is that it's too easy to be considered a musician nowadays, especially with rap, sampling etc., I mean anyone can talk into a microphone to the beat of music that was written twenty years ago and have it sound pallettable. Don't get me wrong, I like many songs that have used sample music, but that doesn't mean I agree with it. They need to write their own music if they want to be musicians. I'm caught between a rock and a hard place, as I love a lot of rap/r&b music, but can't stand the fact that in many instances, my ten year old neighbor could have performed it. Sorry if I went off on a bit of a rant, but this is how I feel. BTW, I listen to all types of music, and right now Eminem is probably my favorite musician, which is not to say that I don't feel torn about feeling this way about someone who's personallity sucks, and who belongs to a sector of the music business that makes me cringe at some of the performers who actually make it into said business without a shread of talent.

First off: I hate Kid Rock, and think Eminem is great.

That said...it depends. Kid rock is VERY musically talented. He can play many instruments, and he is a KICKASS DJ. Eminem was FAR more influential, has a unique style of rap, and has more producing talent than Rock. Tough call...if you're saying who is more talented as a musician, I'd say Kid Rock. If you are saying who is more talented as a muscal artist, I'd say Eminem.

They both have lots of talent, albeit in different areas. However, I prefer Kid Rock.
