Poll: Who would YOU vote for if the elections were today??

I put Wesely Clark, smart upfront ex. general would make an excellent leader to run this country through the tough times in Iraq and come up with a good exit strategy. My second choice would be Chuck Hagel. I like Obama as well put I feel he wouldnt be a good presidential canidate better as a vice president ticket.

WTF voted for Cunilingus Rice?

Obama, Richardson, or Gulinani>>Mc Cain>>>>Hillary

Edwards is a lying douche too.

I'd vote for Ron Paul hands down. The media has rarely mentioned him as a candidate. I saw CNN mention him for about 2 seconds as a candidate running for President, and that was only one time. Ron is a true conservative, not one of these neo-con twits. Ron is pro-sovereignty, and very much against the North American Union as well as illegal immigration.

Where are all the liberals today?
21 votes and 11 are for Republicans.
We KNOW this forum is far more left/Democrat than Republican.

Pushing for more straight down the party line non intelligence voting still? Great! That is what America needs! Great contribution to this thread!

Nader or Dr. Rice, depends on who is running against who really. I doubt Nader would win, Rice might win if she had the Republicans backing her.

If you go back and read old topics and polls you would find most people here think of themselves as moderate or middle

I'm amazed that there are people who would vote for Condi. I'm guessing these people would also vote for Bush if he could run for a third term, because that's basically what you would get with her.

To call her a puppet would be a compliment.

Maybe there are people on this forum who can think for themselves and not vote for a person strictly based on the (R) or (D) by their name like a monkey.

Where's Al Gore?

Probably hiding under a table somewhere mumbling something about the earth melting and the 2000 elections.

He was eaten by ManBearPig, but yeh, I would probably vote for him now that he is in the poll.

Gore added. Ty 🙂

I wouldn't say that. Most members just don't like Bush, who is far from a conservative on most issues. I don't think many people here even like the few far left members we have (not to name names, but just find a thread on who is defending Chavez as if he was the greatest thing since sliced bread). While they may be a little more progressive on some issues, overall, the people here are mostly moderates.

Personally, I went Huckabee, although I do like Hagel as well.

I actually really love Bill Richardson and would totally vote for him in a general election.

but amongst the A-list democratic candidates... Hillary. Obama and Edwards both talk a good game, but I think it's all populist fluff with no real ideas backing it up. people keep forgetting how much Edwards got demolished in the '04 VP debate, against Cheney of all people. Obama? maybe in a couple years. but I feel like Hillary's got some realistic ideas and an appropriately cynical view of how Washington works.

Giuliani and McCain are the best thing that ever happened to the democrats. McCain has already hired most the dirty tricksters that Bush uses/used in the past. McCain plans on using them on Giuliani full force. Giuliani was married 3 times. This will drive away the hard core republican voters. As well as he's for abortion rights, gay rights, not good for Giuliani. As well as 9/11 and where Giuliani dropped the ball big time by not getting things going so the different rescue forces could communicate with each other during 9/11.
Giuliani also has some pretty sleazy business dealings that will come out via McCain.
And then theres experience. Giuliani on foreign, health, economy and so much more = zero!
So McCain comes out on top, and even independents will never vote for McCain, as well as many republicans.
And then theres Hillary. Never underestimate her. The same things they are trying to say about her now, they used when she ran for NY Senate. And guess what the outcome was? Hillary has a way in her to win people over face to face. She did it in NY. And she will do it again running for president. The biggest mistake anyone can make is to underestimate Hillary. Many many people that hate her now, will vote for her in 2008. A repeat of NY. 😀

I like how some people love to discount the intelligence of others because they don't agree with the person making choices. I like how you try to appear neutral at the end after using deragatory names to refer to the Secretary of State. Do you also toss out Aunt Jemima at your cross burnings? Must be lovely to be so intolerant as you.

There are people who do vote for the (D) or (R) simply because of that notation, but its politically incorrect to call them out on it isn't it?

This is starting to be WAY different than any public internet poll I've seen thus far. *Starts not trusting media*

The polls on this forum rarely reflect reality.

This poll is a perfect example... Where is Newt Gingrich?
