If a team like UNC / Arizona / Duke / Illinois played an NBA team, they would be killed.

the style of play is completely different in the NBA vs. NCAA.

the size of players is completely different.

everything between the two except the sports concept is different.

NBA or NCAA rules???

How would it make any difference?

6 personal fouls.
traveling is very very lax in NBA
3 seconds is hardly called
3 point arc is further out
25 sec shot clock.

list goes on

The NCAA team would get absolutely rocked. It's one thing to be the best out of all the college teams, but the NBA is a whole different level.

Traveling is lax in the NCAA's as well.

As for the rest of the rules, if they were called NBA-style that would benefit the NBA team, if they were called NCAA-style it would only help the NBA team, IMO.

NBAs worst would beat the NCAA best.
The NCAA best usually rely on a couple superior players that generally play at NBA rookie level. The rest of the team doesn't have the skill to match up.

The NBA team would kill them.

Only the best NCAA players can even get into the NBA. Each NBA team is made of the best NCAA players they could find. An NCAA team, on the other hand, is comprised of a couple NBA-quality players with the rest of the team being comprised of "not NBA-quality" players. If the NCAA team is very lucky, they'll have a player or two who can hold their own against the opposing player on the NBA team. The rest of his team won't be able to do that, and they'll get taken full advantage of.

How? They would get called for traveling every play and never shoot the ball?

Never throw it into the post? Never throw up threes?

The rules wouldn't matter. NBA players are paid to play basketball. It's their job. It is what they do all year. Only a small percentage of players from the NCAA make it to the pros.

The WNBA, of course.

But it could be the Hawks vs. UNC or Hornets vs. Oklahoma.
Have you seen the Hawks in action this year? Even with Walker?

Unfortunately I have. :) Home opener, in fact.

The Hawks do suck, but even THEY could win. And they are barely an NBA team.

Charlotte Bobcats
Atlanta Hawks
New Orleans Hornets

Any of the above would manhandle a college team by 40-points if not more!

The guys in the NBA are polished professionals who are the top 1% of college basketball and Intl. players. The level of the game is at a whole 'nother level!
