i read recently on Dragonballz.com that Jet Li will be Goku in the upcoming movie, personally i think jackie chan should be Goku because he is funny and has fighting skills. Jet Li would be a better Vegeta. Wat do you guyz think? also who should play the other characters?

We all want that. But they are gona make a movie, and I'd rather see jackie chan OR someone who is not a complete hard ass.
I dunno who should be Goku, no one really looks like him in real life. But if they made Metal Gear Solid into a movie you know who would be the perfect Snake? Sylvester Stallone! Dawned on me while watchind Rambo: First Blood Pt. II last night (where he was sporting an 80s mullet). Perfect for Mullet Gear Solid, I think.
Little too old right now I think, but otherwise would make a good choice. But he doesn't ooze the coolness that Snake does

I would hope they would not rush into the Frieza saga. Save that for several sequels down the road. Most likely they would start off with the visit from Raditz and then Vageeta, with the ending being Goku sparing his life, and then the next movie would be Frieza, Vageeta still in transition from bad guy to good guy.

Anyway you know that the script writers are going to screw up the whole story line. You know how they do with Batman or Xmen.
Jackie's looking way too old for Goku, but I'll admit Jet Li is a little too serious to play him. I can't think of any asian actor that would fit better though. Maybe have Jackie as Master Roshi? (Who of course was "Jackie Chun" fighting young Goku).

All that will come from them making a movie out of DBZ is likely to be crap - agreed, but I also agree with DaveSimmons- chan is getting fairly old, and for that I don't think he would work out as Goku, but then again, I couldn't think of anybody that would work very well. Jet Li could work, but he would have to pull that stick out of his bum, and soften up a little.
oh god, i dont even want to think about what a dragonball movie would look like. its just.......wrong, so very.....wrong.
Jet Li is actually very dorky/comedic in his Chinese movies. (I've seen a very few... I'm not Chinese). Although I'm with most people and think it shouldn't even be made into a movie.... it's not even considered good anime in my books and most people I know.
