Janet Napolitano is a bit too conservative but would be a good choice. Sally Jewell would be another. Robbing the Senate would be a terrible move.

can't. He already served two terms.

How about HRC? Might be her chance... 😛
The dems have already shot themselves in the foot once picking Biden. Do you want them to shoot themselves in the other foot by picking Hillary as the VP?
Actually, she is one of the most qualified candidates, and I think she would be a great choice, but she has proven herself pretty much un-electible.
And besides, do you want another nine months of "but her e-mails and Benghazi"?

So you are aware of what the Pub campaign strategy will be. Good start.

Sanders would be cool.

Absolutely!

Warren .. she will draw the berns, female and the black vote. Its a nobrainer.
You need Harris as AG to fuck everything Trump residual leftover...

I think the above poster's "lol what" has to do with the fact that Warren didn't do especially well with black voters in the primary, and I will add...in spite of frequently pandering to people of color, more so than Sanders or most of the others. For that she was endorsed by several prominent activists but ultimately did not fare well with the rank and file.

I'm also not sure she'd pull in the Sanders' voters either. She'd pull some in, but for everyone she pulled in there might be another we'd lose because of animus toward her from some of Sanders' supporters.

She's good with women, but then again, so too are pretty much all the choices.

Her constituency was older, educated white liberals. She was always competing more with Buttigieg than Sanders even though her policies were closer to Sanders, because both her and Buttigieg were appealing to a similar demographic. In any event, regardless of the nominee, I'm not too worried about educated white liberals in November, at least not those over 40.

I think this is a good choice as well, though you and I liking her is sure to drive her numbers down around here.
I am not familiar with Whitmer, but in general, I could see an advantage in picking someone outside the primary candidates. It would be a fresh face, someone who was not involved in the infighting and debates before Biden was selected. I think Stacy Abrahms is a much more likely choice though, if he picks someone who was not a primary candidate.

A preemptive move to eliminate the obvious choice of Sanders is how I see that. Who earned the spot?

He hasn't said yet. Hence why I set up this poll...

As for Sanders, sorry, but I doubt that. I think he and his campaign just think a woman works out best for him this time. Everything isn't just about Bernie.

Harris will be a lock to be in the administration. If not VP, then AG.
I can see AG, not VP. I'm not savvy, gotta admit that but look... Klobuchar has more experience than Harris, is from MN, an important swing state. CA is in Biden's hip pocket already. Warren would be better politics, IMO, but won't strengthen Biden's chances as much as Klobuchar, who's more in the middle, will have more clout with middle America, and I mean not just people whose politics aren't particularly radical, but also those in geographically middle America. And Klobuchar can energize. Just my feeling. Honestly, if Biden is set on picking a woman, I'd be surprised if he doesn't go with Klobuchar.

All (almost) those are going to Biden anyway, especially because he said (I heard) that he's set on a female running mate.

I think Adams would be a good choice, from GA in the deep south, may turn some to Biden in that regon

Just for a point of rhetoric, it's not necessarily true that he can't. Would have to be tested by the court. The constitution definitively says he cannot be ELECTED president again, it doesn't actually say he can't assume the presidency by other means. I think it's an interesting discussion of the 12th and 22nd ammendments.

I heard a name I think is the best suggestion in a while, former National Security adviser Susan Rice.

I doubt something ugly would come up from her background. She worked during a time when vetting was done.

CNN has a "top 10 list". I put 9 of them in the poll, so I could make the 10th option "other."

My personal opinion, he shouldn't pick Harris. He needs no help with the black vote, and also needs no help in California.

I think he should go for Tammy Baldwin or Gretchen Witmer, because those two could deliver him Wisconsin or Michigan, respectively. My third choice would be Klobuchar. Fourth choice would be any qualified latina.

If your choice is "other" you can say who it is here.
Not necessarily. James Clyburn and the black voters of South Carolina literally saved his candidacy.

It was never about Sanders. It was about his aim to restore democracy to ordinary people, all the fools, Democratic and Republican, who believe in horse shit and lies and live their lives as fodder for the machine., who welcome it. He dedicated his life to save people who could not see it because their inner truth is that they aren’t really worth it. That anybody who could actually care about them is a fool.

Time to relax. He didn’t make it. The 1% aren’t the 1% because they are stupid. The only worth a soulless society can offer is to be rich and famous. Did you buy your lottery ticket?

See, democracy isn’t dead. You have one chance in a billion if you play the game.

I really, REALLY want to see a young woman in the White House, like Tulsi Gabbard.
We've had plenty of old white men as president and frankly none of the old white men who want the job are fit to have it.
