My father died in 2000. He served WWII at Los Alamos, and worked IRS most of his life.

René, I don't really know what he does. he works on Wall Street as a number cruncher that has something to do with collections and repo agencies.

we worked together for like 3 months when he got me a summer job, but I was on the other end of the building in a completely unrelated department.

My dad is a Microsoft recruiting manager for a non-US country. I'd tell you which except you'd then be able to trace back actual names.

My old man...........;)
Bob he was, praise Bob.
he was a WWII veteran in the Marines, a dynamite man, road construction worker, farmer, and his last and longest job was a DSHS special investigator. There were other minor gigs in there.

That is how my father got into the radio business too. He was stationed in Hawaii on a Sub from '43-'45 and had something to do with the operation of the radio, exactly what I don't know. The little info I do have, I got from my mother because he would never discuss it. He passed in '97.

I got time-warped. :disgust: I was searching for the Vonkhan mysterious disappearance thread and couldn't remember Vonkhan's name , the first name that popped into my memory was venk. Why? I have no idea. So I searched for venk like this and this thread just popped up and still seemed a valid discussion topic, so I replied and was promptly time-warped. :Q

very observant.

and no one even replied back them... oh, how this place has changed.

I think Quintox was trying to see if he could Necro-Timewarp this thread.

Damnit - didn't read Eplenbnista's post.

My dad is/was an RF engineer, named on several patents related to television receivers (etc). Self made business man after that, retired now (finally).
