I would say if you're getting paid 30%+ less than the industry standard, you're grosely underpaid.

With that spelling, it's no wonder. 😉

The figures on salary.com is grossly inaccurate. They are inflated numbers.

I swear this is true. I know sooooo many people in different industries and they don't make that much at all.

Most likely because no two jobs are the same, even if they have the same titles.

The "director of blah blah" at one company may have more responsibilities than the "director of blah blah" at another company. It also may be twice as hard to become that "director" than it would at another company.

I don't believe so, check out the same job in San Jose link

also, to the mod, it's spelled differently based on where you're from. Some spell it grosely, others "grossly" 🙂

QFT - The directors at the company I work for can have 200+ people under them.

That and what someone makes in Raleigh NC is going to be less then a New York City or San. Fran. etc...

To those of you that think you are 'grossly' underpaid, you can always get another job.

An employer has a right to pay whatever they want. It's your right to find another job.

I gotta go with the mod on this one.
He picked it up on it and he's only known you for 5 seconds.
I imagine your employer has also noticed your disregard for education and is reflecting it in your salary.

I have never seen it spelled "grosely", so where are you from?

I could get a 50% raise with hardly any effort at all. I could get 80-100% raise with a little more effort and some sacrifices (smaller company). But, im grateful for what my company has done for me, and they are paying for my graduate school so I won't consider leaving for another year or so. But then.... $$$$$$$$$

 Mod. A man/woman after my own herat.

Grosely

OP - do you have multiple managers working for you with a team of 5-20 people for each manager? If so then you are a director and severely underpaid.
