I do occasionally time record so I have to keep it set. It doesn't have an external clock though so if I didn't set it it would just be the light flashing.
I have auto set on both of my POS sony VCR's and on one of them the cl;ock doesnt work at all and on the other one the auto set sets it 1 hour back from the real time so IT SUCKS:|
Whats really lame is that not only have I failed to set the time but I actually manually take the output on VCR and connect to input on TV every time I watch a movie. Why? Because I have not yet bothered (over the last 2 months) to grab one of the many cable wires I have and hook the cable into vcr into tv !
Mines an hour ahead. I don't have the right remote for it, so I can't get to the setup menu, but at some point I got it to automatically set the clock, if only I could remember how...
threw out my POS VCR a long time ago. Using scsi pionner 6X and 19" hitachi monitor for movies now. no room in my tiny dorm for computer and TV/VCR
Heh... I deal with Severe 12 O'Clock Flashers all day at work (Tech support)
You know you're lazy when, instead of hunting down the manual to set the time (some weird button combo starts the clock setting thing), you hunt down the roll of duct tape and tape over the time
