I do occasionally time record so I have to keep it set. It doesn't have an external clock though so if I didn't set it it would just be the light flashing.

Whats really lame is that not only have I failed to set the time but I actually manually take the output on VCR and connect to input on TV every time I watch a movie. Why? Because I have not yet bothered (over the last 2 months) to grab one of the many cable wires I have and hook the cable into vcr into tv !

My JVC VCR automatically sets the time from a signal broadcast by PBS or something like that. I never have to do anything. It just rules.

Mines an hour ahead. I don't have the right remote for it, so I can't get to the setup menu, but at some point I got it to automatically set the clock, if only I could remember how...

I routinely update all the clocks after a power outage or Daylight savings etc.

What I'd like to know DABANSHEE, is whether your analog clocks go in the opposite direction that ours do? :p

Ours didn't come with a manual, and I haven't figured out how to get the darned thing to change it's time. Bad VCR!

/me spank the VCR!

Oh well, I don't use it often cuz I have a DVD drive and 19 inch screen hooked onto my system! :)

Heh... I deal with Severe 12 O'Clock Flashers all day at work :) (Tech support)

You know you're lazy when, instead of hunting down the manual to set the time (some weird button combo starts the clock setting thing), you hunt down the roll of duct tape and tape over the time :)
