Bob Woodward's new book Fear is coming out. Early excerpts are pretty damning and are covered in another thread.

Trump has responded with fake news made up quotes, a con on the American people.

Who do you believe is telling the truth?

Trump said he never spoke with Woodward about the book but of course he did and a recording was released of their conversation they had. And of course during their conversation he said never took place he lied and said no one told him that Woodward was trying to get ahold of him to interview him for the book but of course was caught lying about that too.

Based on the impeachment poll, we don't exactly have a healthy pool of Trump supporters to choose from when making a relatable poll and wondering how it would stand in contrast to what has previously been established. Thus, I'm not sure what we can learn from this one.

I believe we can extrapolate from this that you'll never find a time to not be Tobias, Tobias.

So we all know that Trump is a seriously afflicted pathological liar extraordinaire with however many exclamation marks, enlarging and bolding you want to add to it.

Everything that comes out of that filth ridden hole in his face has to be treated with suspicious alertness, has to be fact checked even while it's being projected off of that forked tongue of his, must be assumed false to make sense if at all possible and must be assumed that his supporters believe every word of it or they too would not make any sense.

From the little I know of reading body and facial language it's glaringly obvious to me how worthless, how vacuous and how galactically distant his thought processing is from reality.

Yet for some inexplicable reason, his words still have weight, still have some kind of obtuse value and still has this strange relationship with worthiness of notice among those that for some weird reason or another are compelled to blithely ignore reason and common sense in order to make the unbelievable believable.

Therein lies the conundrum we are faced with, where as far as Trump is concerned, he can lie, he can deceive, he can deflect, he can even declare himself a genius, of openly insinuating that he is a better president than Lincoln ever was, that nobody has been tougher on Russia, that North Korea was no longer a nuclear threat, that........well, we all get the drift even if it's inconvenient for some to admit it.

Trust in Trump? How the hell can anyone in their right mind do such a thing? I mean, really.

I don't think Trump is capable of telling the truth at this point. He's lied so much that he has to keep going.

Given his self promotion and excessive language about how everything he ever does is the best thing ever I'd say that he suffers from the clinical condition known as mythomania. Even if he was telling a story that was true he'd exaggerate it until nothing but lies remained.

If Peewee Herman had an under-aged girl sitting on his lap in that magic chair of his I'd be more inclined to believe him than Trump on his best day.

I can't say they are connected but Woodward may push Trump to a higher level of panic, but on the same day teasers are released and Trump goes to war with Woodward, Mueller accepts in lieu of and interview precisely what Rudy asked for, that is written question and nothing about obstruction.

It would make sense with Trump threatening everything that offends him which is pretty much everything since it could serve as a delaying tactic while Donnie lashes out. It's not like Trump doesn't Tweet his own confessions anyway.

Neither Woodward or the pres. are on good terms with the truth.

The Crab

Er, what? Woodward literally has recordings of all his sources and even published a call with Trump catching him in a lie. He's one of the most distinguished journalists on the planet, legendary for his attention to thorough reporting and accuracy. He's the polar opposite of Trump.
