I you had to vote for either a democrat or a republican for President (a gun to your head, people ready to rape and murder your family and friends, etc) without knowing anything about the actual people on the ballot, which party would you choose?

I voted Republican, but only because Dr. Paul is a Republican and he wants to save the party. I can't think of any Democrats that would beat Dr. Paul. However, there was at least one somewhat good quasi-paleconservative Mississippi Democrat who was voted out in favor of a neocon Tea Partier in 2010.

Oh, OP, I'll bite. Republican or Democrat, what does it matter?

After all, this isn't a decision for life is it? We all make mistakes, voting for either one of these one time is not... world ending. This absolutely does not reflect my vote in the upcoming election though.

Republicans make use of small gov rhetoric and woo me more than the Democrats, but by god do they give me plenty of reasons to see them removed from office and chased out of town.

Our system is corrupt, and voting for either of these two will not change our descent into madness. In respect to the outcome, both are equally bad choices as Republicans believe in placing government over people just as much as the Democrats do.

The mere thought of people over government (Tea Party) is labeled radical extremest and assaulted from both sides, which then crumbles and fails under pressure. Should tell you everything you need to know about our political system, it's bought and paid for from the very top. This country has an elite ruling class like Europe of old.

We have journeyed so far to travel so little.
