well, it all depends on what you want. both watches are great. the perpetual calendar is a feature on both, so you don't have to worry that much about the date. if you're a feature freak, then the chronograph would come in nicely.

they're both eco-drives, so plus there.

you can't go wrong with either watch. my dad has a similar one (not the modena line, but similar to the first one but cheaper) that i got for him when i used to work for a watch dealer and he enjoys it.

the chronograph and perpetual calendar is a tad tricky to set at first but just read the instructions.

Number one is too busy and the second one has a much cleaner and profesional look to it. In fact I really did that second one and may put it on my wish-list!

i like #2 too... less crap to break and or fall off.. as well as a cleaner look
