Poll: Which upcoming mobo?

I am getting a DDR+Mobo+a GF2MX upgrade in the coming weeks, and I do need decent overclocking. I am mostly waiting for Abit KS7 and ECS K7S6A to see what their prices are and how they do compared to current KT266A boards. I am considering nForce but because I allready have a sufficent sound card for my purposes, I am really thinking that it may not be the best option, plus I don't need to buy another stick of 256MB of Crucial DDR (I allready bought a single 256MB stick). So, I'm just wondering what your thoughts are on which mobo will be the best. I do want overclocking, I'm picking up a Morgan 1GHz and plan on overclocking it to at least 150fsb (hopefully) and maybe to 1.1-1.25GHz or so. I really need to keep the mobo at around $100 or so, I'm assuming considering that KS7 will be including overclocking, and everything, that it should be right about $100 or so. So, cast your vote if you would on which will be the best, and I know SiS and VIA zealots will come but I would like your guys opinion. Thanks!

Well, I havent used any of those boards but I have used 12 K7s5a's and if the K7S6A is basically the same board with some OC options and DDR333 support then It should fit your needs quiet nicely. But again. I have NOT used it.

I hear alot of good things about the Epox 8KHA+ but again I havent used it. The ECS will also almost without a doubt be the cheapest. But that doesnt mean anything if it isnt stable. I would just wait and see to tell you the truth. An Nforce might be just what the doctor ordered if you are considering BUYING a geforce2mx. If you can find an Nforce cheap enough you might even save money going that route over the K7S6A and getting a "free" Geforce2 with the money you saved. and Its probably a pretty safe bet the Nforce will have much better sound then that ECS board. so that is money well spent.

just my 2cents.

Gigabyte will be releasing a board with the new "C" revision of the ALi Magic1 chipset soon as well, that might definitely be worth taking a look at also when it does surface.... that's the one i'm waiting to see before i make my upgrade decision 🙂
