My Sandra readings tell me that the CPU temp is 61 celsius (scorching). The software that came with my Epox 8KTA+ mobo tells me its running at under 40c. My bios tells me ~40 as well. SO how reliable is this Sandra 2000 Pro? Would hate to burn out my processor so quickly! This is the lil' ol' system:

Duron 700@900 @ 1.7V, 100x9
Epox 8KTA+

Please, any input will help!! Thanks, peace!

Sandra is very unreliable. But the bios aint to reliable either, cause you can't run full load and still see what the bios temp is.

What heatsink do you have?

I picked up the Taisol Cek733092 from the "hotdeals" group buy. It says guaranteed up to 1.2, i think. But I just thought it was strange to have readings from opposite spectrums.

Got another question...how do I set pc 100 2-2-2 memory to pc133 2-2-2, assuming its supported. I have the Kingston 256 from that buy.com DOTD. I made some settings in the bios and when it boots up, it says its pc133. But when I run Sandra, it tells me PC100 2-2-2. I'm starting to hate Sandra :|

the taisol is a very good unit... You should be fine, temp wise..

As far as setting your ram to 133, choose the fsb:cpu:pci setting to (4:3:1), or is it ram +33mhz speed... I can't remember right now.
