*Poll* Which stock is better??? Nortel (NYSE:NT) or Lucent (NYSE: LU)

My grandfather was inquiring about which stock he should buy, Nortel Networks or Lucent Technology Inc. I know which stock I would buy, but I wanted some other people's opinions. I am leaning more towards Nortel at this point. Let me know what ya'all think!?!

i wud say Nortel, i work in the TELECOM industry myself, but both of them arent doing too well., Nokia or Erricson have a better future, if you are thinking short term anyway

i have alot of respect for the knowledge that alot of people have on this board but woudn't be asking what stock to buy or which stock better on this board instead ask a person who you know is knowledgible in this field.

I have quite a bit of respect for those on this forum as well. I am just asking people's opinions for personal curiosity. I called my friend who is a day trader and he told me to stick with Nortel as long as it is not over 52 weeks, otherwise [my grandfather] should invest in something a lil' more stable, like Erricson. Trust me, I am not basing my decision on this poll 😀
