Grip! It's ForceGrip.

I'd be partially dark. I don't believe in such a black and while (dark and light) world, I wouldn't drop my morals but I'd use any method available to slay my enemies.

Truthfully, the dark side can't win. Things ForceAbsorb and ForceHealing will keep a jedi safe in battle. Dark Jedi don't have it, so they've got to go skill-to-skill. The Light have an advantage.

EVEN THOUGH JEDI ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE EITHER LIGHT OR DARK... That's why, in the books, Anakin/Vader went around killing 1000's of jedi - because they had chosen a side. A jedi is supposed to balance the sides, whether bad or good. But, since it is the nature of things to bend toward one or the other, there are no true, real jedi anymore (at this point in the stories).

Aren't these things made up things from Jedi Knight II? And IIRC - Darth Maul pretty much owned Obi Wan and Qui Gon until Darth killed Obi which instilled hatred and fear in him - the essence of the dark side, right? And regarding the books - aren't they unauthorized installments of the Star Wars series?

Force Absorb and Force Heal come from Dark Forces 2, actually. I'd still bet lucas had some say in the force powers though, just so they didn't put in "Force SheepMutate" or something.

As for the books , apparently they have to be screened ebfore they're given the "Star Wars" license. This wasn't always the case, so there were a few really weird books about the Star Wars universe (Splinter of the Minds Eye comes to mind), but since some publishing change, they're mostly true to the universe.

Nah. They aren't just from the game. There have been jedi in the books who use them. Hey, check this out... in EP1, in the Jedi Council, you see a jedi to Yoda's right that has peach skin and a tall, elongated head. Kind of flat. Anyway, his "specialty" is making people sick. :D You'll be fighting him and you'll suddenly start puking your guts up - literally :D

ffm - ahh ok gotcha. Never read the books but people always told me about them. After Luke destroys the emperor in EP6, doesn't he find out that it was a clone and he goes nuts and destroys the cloning machines and then finally the real empreror? And then doesn't Leia also train to be a Jedi?

Woohoo, Dark winning!

Well, the Emperor is a clone, yes. But he's a clone of a clone of a clone of a clone of a clone.. etc. of himself. His spirit is too strong in the force, and keeps killing the flesh that houses it. Anyway, after Luke starts the Jedi Academy, he trains Leah, yes. Later in the books, the emperor is killed and there's apparently nothing to go back and clone his body with. I don't remember all the details of the whole cloning thing.

But, essentially, you got it.
