I wonder if Sony is trying to reduce size by having it curved like that (which I don't like), PS2 looks really good, but this is a step backwards, definately not stacking friendly. IMHO its similar in situation to XBox1, only it looks as if Sony actually tried to make it appealing. They're trying to cover up the hideous beast within, but that is the catch, the system is a beast. Give me a huge box, I don't care if it looks good as long as it can run my games, "oh hay, my system sucks but at least it looks the best." Yeah, no. Kudos to Sony for trying to make it look nice.
Then there's the 360, I'm not sure I agree with people saying it looks like an Apple product - if its white-ish and smooth it is automatically Apple, ok whatever. Kinda funny though, Microsoft needs G5 computers to run their early E3 demos, and people associate the design of their system with an Apple product...granted this is all hardware stuff and not software, but it is Apple that Microsoft seems to clearly be relying on. I wouldn't be suprised if the system gets redesigned or undergoes a simple change back to black in order to kill the Apple comparisons. The design is definately an improvement. Something more uniformly retangular and flat would be nice, you can still have the rounded edges but if one of our goals is to have a system that copmliments home theater equpiment, we want it to be able to get along with that equipment, not stick out like a sore thumb. Sticking out and being noticed is fine, but if it doesn't fit in, it doesn't fit in.
Now to the Revolution, the one system that SHOULD be compared to an Apple product if it doesn't look like it out right (because the most prevalent pictures are of a black system). How is it more Apple than 360? Because it is so slim and simple. Very little flair - it does not boast any distracting and unneeded extras. You can take one look at it and know everthing about it. The complexity of simplicity... Small buttons, slot loading rom drive, hidden away ports, sleek and sharp design - it definately looks like it belongs alongside your TV, HT equpiment, or computer monitor...
I'd rate them in reverse order of their potential power (unless Nintendo really has something up their sleeve), Revolution, 360, PS3, however I don't think there is any real dog of the bunch like the XBox of this current generation is (although I don't really have anything against ugly systems, as long as they play my games, my XBox does this very well)
