Just submitted an order for Time Magazine for $4.95 for 56 issues. I used a one-time-use CC number (I love Amex Blue) so there should be no snafus with automatic renewal.

I also ordered my sister a 1-year subscription to Fitness (her favorite magazine - $348 after coupon) as a let's-forget-about-the-whole-thing gesture. 🙂

$348!?!? Wow, why so expensive?

BTW, The Economist is almost unanimously considered in the industry the best News Magazine.
Almost any journalist will tell you so, whether they write for Time or Der Spiegel.

You're right - we read the Economist surveys in my PoliSci class last semester. But, it's over $100 for a 12-month subscription. It might be the best, but the price isn't worth it to me.
