I just bought Tora Tora Tora for 12.99 CAD. I think it?s a better film overall compared to the new one because they did a good job showing the actions of both sides, and more importantly NO CHEEZY LOVE STORY!

Discuss while I chow down.

I've only seen Pearl Harbor, or rather I've only seen the second half of it, but that's all that matters. My brother was telling me how the first half is total crap (which I assume it was, being a love story and all). The second half had pretty decent action though

Tora Tora Tore by FAR. It's an excellent movie. Pearl Harbor is junk, it's not even in the same category. Best description of Pearl Harbor I ever heard was "A 2-hour movie crammed into 3 about how the Japanese launched a surprise attack against an american love triangle."

Plus Affleck was in it, that takes is down a notch. ;)

I haven't seen either movie, and I STILL know that Pearl Harbor totally blows.

Lol, in the movie Team America: World Police there's a song about how Pearl Harbor sucks and so does Ben Affleck. Great stuff.

Hell anyone who is not a fvcking retard can tell you that Tora, Tora, Tora is the best Pearl Harbor movie ever made. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a dumbshit.

Tora by far...PH can't even be considered a real historical movie, it's more fiction than anything else.

The only thing Pearl Harbor had in common with the historical event is the name. Only movie I have walked out of in my entire life.

I've seen them both, Tora Tora Tora is a much better movie in terms of overall quality. Pearl Harbor had some cool effects, however, I was rather disapointed with it.

While tora tora tora isn't one of my more favorite war movies, it's definatley WAY better than pearl harbor. Pearl harbor featured some incredible special effects work, but it wasn't enough to carry the movie, which was long, overacted, and poorly dialoged.

Tora you get that nice old school war movie feel with the old movie star dialogue. I think it's great :)

I own the Pearl Harbor DVD (was a gift). I've tried three times to watch it from the start. Every time I end up skipping to the attack scenes. So I've never been able to watch the entire movie.

I will say that the attack scenes are good (some of the best I've ever seen), but the dogfight scenes over Hawaii are just a taaaaad bit over done.

heh, the only reason that movie made money from many of us was the promise of war scenes from the trailer. course after sitting through that tripe...wasn't really worth it.
