Poll: which motherboard & cpu to buy!!!!!!!!

Hi all

I need some info regarding the performance and stability of users currently using or running the Asus a7v and the gigabyte 7zxr motherboard with the Amd duron or thunderbird cpu. The above m/boards are the only 2 that are available in South Africa btw. I am also still undecided about which cpu to purchase the Duron 800 or the Thunderbird 700 mhz as the price difference is about R230.00 ( R= rand ). The Asus is R1357.00 the Gigabyte R1299.00 and the cpu's are Duron R929.00 Thunderbird R1159.00............expensive I know but consider this I'm using an old pentuim 100 with 32megs of ram, what a hold up.

Your input will be appreciated..........really🙁

I would get the Asus and a Duron 600 or 700 and overclock the heck out of it.

Definitely get the Asus. As for the chip, its a toss up. The two chips run about the same speed at the default clock, and both can be OCed. Your call.
