let me explain my definition of both.
A "geek" is someone who specializes in one particular field of interest. Meaning there could be a Star Wars geek, a Simpsons geek, etc. etc. They know EVERYTHING about one thing and not much about others.
A "nerd" is someone who knows a lot of information about a lot of different subjects. Usually a nerd will be at least a little more socialable.
so therefore, i believe being a "geek" is worse.
