POLL: Which is the greatest Japanese sports car?

Trying to keep it production sports cars (AWD/RWD, Coupe, etc).
No concept, F1, etc.

My vote goes to the Supra. Best looking, best engine....plus I own one, so I'm biased.

It's a disgrace to be putting the S2000 in with the likes of some of the above mentioned cars. The S2000 is great in it's own right but doesn't have the history as some of the legends you put up there.

I'll vote for the Datsun

The Z's lineage is the richest, but in terms of flat out sports car capability, I'd have to give it to the GT-R, there's a reason it was called "Godzilla" over in Japan

I had to vote for the Silvia for the following reasons:
1) I have a 240sx
2) It has an unblemished history. It never got fat like the Z, it never got overpriced like the NSX and Supra.
3) Reliable as a daily driver, not just for the track like a turbo RX-7 and so on.
4) Sextacular handling, or it wouldn't be a drifter car.
5) Has character, as a result from its relative rareness (I believe they are not too common in Japan either).
6) Best looking car on that list (S14 and S15 at least). Not ugly like Skyline!

That's why I bought an Infiniti G35 Coupe. It's not quite a GT-R, but it is the Skyline GT in Japan.

I think it's more Supra>FD3S>s2k>nsx>GTR>Z>Silvia

I'm not a big fan of Nissan, though I do love the Skyline.
