I'm waiting.... I think the PS2 is the best, hardware wise. Sure, it may not be much better than Dreamcast, but the games are going to improve DRASTICALLY. Give it a few months, and it will destroy Dreamcast. Gamecube will, in turn, destroy it.

Like I voted for; PS2. I love Dynasty Warriors, great game. I'm a Romance of the Three Kingdoms fan though. Madden 2001 and NHL 2001 are cool too.

The only reason I put up this thread is that there haven't been any good games out lately for my comp, that is my ulitmate gaming system, so I figured I'd get a console to entertain me while I wait for another good computer game.

According to many places, GT3 looks absolutely gorgeous! Also, ZOE looks to be a very good game coming out..

hpkeeper: if you want something just temporary, not a long-time type thing, you can't go wrong with a Dreamcast for $99. There are some great games, and it's so cheap...Skies of Arcadia is simply greatness.

This is a question that I've been wondering too... I'm actually considering buying a console game system to go with my Wega that I bought... Granted there are other thing I want first (Like a DVD player), but I'm beginning to understand the appeal of console gaming. The PSone is attractive due to it's low price tag & compatibility with the current PS game base (particularly the Tekken series, which I love). The PS2 is attractive for it's sheer power, & backwards compatibility with PS games, but the price is steep. The Dreamcast doesn't appeal to me much, neither does the N64. So I guess I'm torn between the PSone & the PS2.
