I just can't get a close shave going with the grain. I've never had any problems shaving against, but I hear that some people get ingrown hairs.

i let my beard grow until people think i am the unibomber, then i use the buzz clippers to take it back to stubble

i haven't "shaved" in a couple years

I go with the grain, and then against the grain, so as to get any long stragglers out first, before they are ripped out by going against.

hooray for buzz clippers... i do pretty much the same thing... until i go to visit my girl. she likes the clean shaven feel and look... sigh. the things you do for love.

not that i care, its just easier to be lazy 😉

Against the grain for me, but I do it in the shower, at the end of the shower, so my face is all softened up and stuff by the water and steam... I get cut less often that way, and it just feels WAY better too...

Down and with the grain. I have very sensitive skin, so if I shave against the grain I get nasty rasor burns and shaving bumps.

I use both electric and a Mach3, depending on season or how much time I have.

With the Mach3 I go against until I reach my chin, because it feels really weird going against, so I go with on my chin and moustache
