Yeah, that's what I was thinking but I don't know which one would be the better investment. Are they the same price?

Same price. ($179) If you're into multiplayer gaming online, you almost can't go wrong with the XBox sports games on Live! That along with Sega GT online and Project Gotham Racing 2 are both Live compatible (neither are of GT3 realism but PGR2 has a lot of depth). Of course I'm XBox biased though. With the PS2 you can play Madden 04 online, which you cannot with Madden on the XBox. I think the same can be said for Sony's own football game (I forgot the name of it) Do you have any friends where you can test/play for a few days?

I'm seriously considering buying an Xbox, if I find a good deal on one after Friday.

Yeah, I have a friend who has all 3 systems and games, but he is extremely sick right now. I just wish I liked the gamecube more cause it is so cheap. Well don't you have to pay for the online play? IF so, I don't care for it.

Yep. I haven't had a console since my PSX, and the graphics just blew on that thing. Playing Madden '98 made my eyes hurt.

Since he's sick now's a good time to borrow it 🙂 But seriously, sorry to hear about your bud 🙁 The Gamecube has some great games in it's own right, but it doesn't sound like you'd be very interested in the games it has to offer. Yes you do have to pay for online play. You get a year free with the Live kit (IIRC) and it's something like $49.99 a year thereafter. That's about $4.17 a month, or basically the price of an entire game. The pay thing does sound bad and turns off some people but having a structured multiplayer online environment is THE way to go with consoles. I am willing to bet thats what you will be seeing with the PS3/XBox Next/(Next Nintendo console)
