**POLL** which case looks better?

The Kingwin, since I have the silver one minus the window 😀. Would've went black myself but it was outta stock.

Although that Cooler Master doesn't look bad either.

I'd go with a black KingWin (since I have one). Doors are generally useless for power users, and I just use the $5 Coolermaster Aluminum Optical Drive Bezels to match my drives perfectly to the front of the case.

They both look OK, but I would rather have the kingwin:
Front Firewire
No Front Door (I hate those things)

I'd have to read some reviews to learn more, but those are my initial feelings.

-D'oh!

can u please explain the doors and power user thing?

I assume he/she/it? meant the green glass door on the Cooler Master case and that if your a power user that has to access the components behind that door alot it could get somewhat annoying over time.

i voted for the kingwin judging solely by their looks; the coolermaster looks sweet as well so you cant go wrong either way 🙂

Kingwin without the window. Beautifully simple and clean.

-10 points for the clear door on the CM - they're usually there to hide mismatched drives, so what is the point?

i already have one of those and i'm bored 😛

my only concern with the kingwin is that it only has one single 80mm slot for exhaust. how can i get efficent airflow with only one 80mm exhaust without sticking a tornado or something in it?

A PCI slot exhaust fan?

With what I'm running now(see sig) and with ambient room temps between 70-75 F, my case temps according to "ASUS PC Probe"(take it for what it's worth) reads 36-37 C/96-98 F(MB temp) @ idle & at about 2 inches(case rear) from a wall.

Nothing OC'd and the only fans in my case are the ones included with the KT-424(2 front/1 rear), PSU(1 internal/1 external), video card(1), & CPU(1).

If this means anything... CPU Temp @ 41 C/ 105 F @ 4687 RPM's (stock A64 cooler w/ AS5)

Yes. I have a LianLi PC-6x (can't remember the exact model. 2xfront intake 1xrear exhaust, no blowhole) I have lighted Coolermaster LED fans and the case temp hovers around 50-52C. If you are some kind of cooling maniac that needs to have a temp lower than that I guess this won't cut it for you. If all you care about is stability and not getting too hot, then this should be fine. The temps mentioned are CPU temps. I like the Kingwin as well, mostly because I despise doors. Both are nice otherwise.

Looking at this picture, it would be difficult if not impossible without ruining it. However, modding it to fit a 92 or 120mm would be really easy because of the space around the grill.

both aren't that great for cooling it seems. the silver one is prettier though. for a modest system thats not jam packed, should be fine though. aluminum has some decent heatsink effect for the hd's atleast. neither is modfriendly. if you want more cooling go for antec/clone

At least where i am from (winnipeg, canada) retailers really overkill the black cases with blue lights. Every computer it seems has one. So mabye i am bias to the white one, but it does really look good!

the Kingwin looks nicer, but Coolermaster makes higher-quality cases.

blue leds = the devil, though. I currently have a black aluminum CoolerMaster case with blue leds for power/activity. after a few weeks, I painted over them because the brightness was bothering me to much.
