[Poll] Which Card to Keep?

Ok, As the title suggests, I am looking for opinions here. I am not an expert on this stuff at all and am hoping for the wisdom of those much wiser in these matters than I.

I have one BFG FX5600 256mb that is less than one month old and currently in my computer.

I also have one visiontek 9600 PRO 128mb that was a replacement from Visiontek for an RMA'ed card.

I am looking to keep the better card. What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance,
🙂

5600!.... o wait... I mean 9600 pro DUH! The latency on the 256 mb of ram, and the poor design of the 5600 to begin with makes the 9600 pro look really really good in this particular comparison.

9600 pro..........u even think about keeping that 5600 piece of junk and ill come find u and beat u with it.

maybes u can trade the 5600 in for a spira graph or sumthing

!WOW!

Boy am i glad i asked!! I thought that 256mb was better than 128mb but then I noticed memory clocks and core clocks and did not know!

Memory clocks and core clocks have little weight compared to the cores themselves.

Even at equal speeds, the 9600P will crush the FX5600 like a little bug.

Just because you're a newbie in this shatty forum doesn't mean you're a newbie to graphics cards or computers-I'm sick of the "big nut" syndrome with some of you old timers.

It must have been elmo-he doesen't post much or know anything other than what's bigger is better.

Hey Karen since you have the two cards why don't you play around with both? It could interesting to see the diff for yourself 🙂

of course it doesn't mean anything like that, but then none here claimed that it did.

however, who ever voted for the 5600 over the 9600pro is obviously either a noobie who doesn't know any better, or a fanboy who is unwilling to accept the truth. 😉
