They only have a 0.264mm sized pixel vs 0.297mm of a 15 or 19 incher.

Out of those choices, I'd go with NEC something (not as flaky as Benq or Sony at least).

IMO it only 'helps' eyestrain. I got almost perfect vision, yet my eyes get strained much faster reading text on a 17 incher than on a 15 incher. Of course, 19 incher is hands down better than a 15 one, but it's also very expensive. Those 17" LCDs are cheap for a reason... Take a look - there are more expensive 18 and 19 inch models with the same resolution, and 17 inch costs almost the same as 15 inches.

it makes for the same image as a 19" but smaller :S

Interesting that there are no dell-branded lcds listed on their site right now. I just bought one for a client 2 days ago, too. Weird.
