DaBoneHead: I agree that many people use vodka as just "the alcohol" in their mixed drinks, but I think many of the higher-priced vodkas can be sipped like any other good liquor. I could probably say the same thing about rum and tequila, though.

TheBestMax, I cannot remember what the bottle looks like (it's a while ago) but it is indeed a Polish vodka and one of the bests !
Much better than the overhyped Smirnoff !

How come I'm the only one to vote for Grey Goose? Its only the #1 rated Vodka in the world.

Hey, what about Kettle One? It is by far my favorite Vodka. And the whole putting it in the freezer thing is to be sure it is very, very cold. It gets really thick and makes the best Martinis! You should try it - I think you will like it. It is kind of the same reason some people put Jagermeister in the freezer. Some alcohol is just better served very cold.

IMHO Sterling vodka is the smoothest. Mixes well with everything!! esp cranberry juice.

I noticed nobody voted for S.S. Pierce vodka. That's the stuff I got busted for drinking, along with my friend, when we were 16. The cop that caught us was laughing at our brand of choice
