I've always used the default Windows location for the task bar, the bottom, and felt comfortable with that until today. I minimized a full screen window to look at the desktop for a second and then I noticed that I had to move the mouse from the top of the screen all the way to the bottom to lift the window back up, and then back to the top to use other options in the window.
I thought, well that's just stupid. I tried moving the taskbar to the top and it was much quicker to minimize and maximize. Along with that, I noticed that to get to the user folder in the Vista start menu was much quicker. So is the mostly used programs. I also moved my recycling bin to the top right and even the empty recycling bin selection is quicker to use.
With that, I wondered how many people have it like this already or in other positions and why.
