Poll: Where do you get the majority of your music?

i really havent aquired much music lately, as most of my stuff is older and from CDs that i own, id say 75% of all mu music was ripped of my CDs the other 25% came mostly in the P2P days, and anything recent is either BT or Allofmp3

buy.com + coupons, amazon used/ebay, secondspin, local used CD shops, friends, and pedro's BT tracker.

I get samples from oinks

meh i used to buy music much more. then they killed sacd/dvda with their copy protection so now we spend money on inferior music 🙁 now sony root kit... yar!!!

I'm trying to make the transition from non-legit to legit sources, so I've currently moved to the "intermediately" legit level of allofmp3.com

I check out quite a few CD's from the library and use other illegal means to obtain music; newsgroups and Soulseek.

You can rip DVD-As now. I've posted the instructions before...it's a little roundabout, but works perfectly.

I predict SACDs will be rippable in 5 years or less. it's inevitable.

The massive majority of my music is downloaded from SoulSeek (great for metal etc.)

I only buy an album as a donation to the band, and I'm even put off doing that since most of my "donation" is skimmed by the record companies. Stealing? I don't care, if I could I would send the band a cheque instead of buying a CD.

if you want money to go to the band, see them live. artists get around 4% of profits from album sales, but get around 75% of concert profits.
