well... do you?

clarification: woman has been in and out of a string of bad relationships with guys that are nothing like you... clearly "damage goods," do you automatically pass her over or risk hanging around hoping something will develop?

question inspired by "discussion" with drinking buddies

The fact is... Even though it may seem like the guys were always the bad guys in her relationships... There's a reason they all broke up with her, she has to be at fault somewhere to have gone through a string of relationships. So I'd be REALLY cautious.

Oh, good god, of course. I'm a nice guy and a good listener, but I don't take kindly to being used emotionally.

I used to put up with these girls, and in fact I had two very close female friends that are very much damaged goods - one is two years younger, beautiful girl, but comes from a broken/abusive home, she's had somewhere around 40 partners in her lifetime, which just made me retch when I thought about it; we were really good friends up until about a year ago, she came up to visit the UW from eastern WA, we spent an evening talking, and we both realized there was nothing binding us in terms of friendship or mutual interest. She's a good kid, but she needs some serious long-term counseling and an extended stay at a battered womens clinic.

The other was a girl I had a crush on from junior high up until this last fall; she's actually the typical "bad girl", smokes, drinks, does ecstacy on occasion, flippant, but smart (at least academically), basically a bad version of me; we used to be very close friends until this last fall, and our "friendship" just fell apart. We had no mutual interest, she was (and still is) a user, an emotionally fvcked up girl with little to no regard for other people.

So, I've changed quite a bit in the last few years, I've become much less tolerant of people around me using me or others, and I've become much more closed off to women who display that personality.

Cheers!
Nate

All women are psycho. Period. However, it's impossible to have a heterosexual relationship without one of them. So, ya'gotta put up with it.

When being forced to pick an apple out of truckload of apples, always try to pick the one with the least amount of visible bruising. Unfortunately, it's not until AFTER you've already bitten into it that you find out whether or not it has worms inside. They usually do. :p

Heh, "the bitch?" How about "most of the women I've dated?" :D I'm ALWAYS ready to move onto something new. "I'm always hungry for something I haven't had yet!" <--Guns n' Roses

However, we are the sum of our experiences, right? I cannot lie to myself and pretend that all this Relationship Skills Knowledge (you call it "bitter") does not exist. That would be like Davinci intentionally creating an ugly painting or sculpture!

I also had a girl that was super duper emotionally unstable.. how should I put it.. all over me? At first I thought I'd just play along but she became weird and super seroius about this thing.

I got really scared and ignored her since.

if you can talk yourself out of it, it is best to stay away from them. they will treat you like dirt because it's the only way they know how to have a relationship (goes for men too). but love knows no reason. :(

Yea man my gf was nuts. Everything that happened to her was everyone elses fault, never hers. I was the a$$hole. Its odd but its true. Bad sh*t always happens to her but i believe she brought it on herself. Right now she with another guy but always calls me to tell me she loves me. Odd isnt it

here here on that. I mean im flipped out so bad sometimes on her just cause the way she is. Its always my fault and ive even just asked her if she has ever told anyone it was her fault and that she was sorry. NOPE!

People are the way they are and no one will change that. I thought i could knock sense into her but no go
