If you could go back were you chouse what major you wanted what would it be. And explain what you have now and how much your making.

I'm currently Bioengineering and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, but I could go back to the start of college, I would have just done Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as I would have a lighter courseload and could take all the CS courses at my school.

I'm an EE student and I wonder if I should have done something else, but only because I want to make more money. If EE paid more I'd just stay where I am, as it's what I find most interesting.

I graduated with degrees in Linguistics and Japanese. I don't think I'd ever change this, given the situation I was in with my academics when I decided to major in those.

However, if I were a freshman, I would have definitely redone my career path, starting with my path to PharmD as well as finishing my BFA in Piano Performance.

Oh well. 🙁

Went for CS/CIS, would go back for basketweaving, gym teacher, business, anything to just get the paper.

Computer engineering.

I don't regret it. The only other majors I could picture myself having would be something with astronautics or a medical field, but I'm happy with my choice.

CS then changed to Graphic Design. Now it is nothing, and I'm contemplating whether I want to finish up in graphic design or join the peace corps or try to find some kind of work or what. Who knows. Right now I am enjoying a complete lack of resposibility and such though, and that is going to be hard to give up. 🙂

i'm an environmental science student. chose the major cause of the many options it has into grad school. i'm thinking of changing it so i'll be taking majors with similar GEs for the first year then see what happens. or i might double major

I majored in Philosophy. If I could go back I would change it to Veterinary Science, and fully intend to go back to school one day to become a Veterinarian.

I started out computer science, but decided it wasn't for me. I switched to Philosophy because it was interesting. By the time I found another interest, it was the only degree I could finish in time (I was also in ROTC and so had to get a degree in 4 years to graduate and start my military career).

As an officer in the US Army. I make ~2400 a month with full benifits. But I also get $710/month to pay for housing, and I don't pay State Taxes.

yes, but not sure what i'd major in. i'm doing pretty well financially, even though i work in linux/MIS and majored in computer science. i'd say that none of my coursework mattered and it was all about the jobs i held while i was in college.

Physics, wouldn't change...although I have changed my career plans. Originally I was planning on medical school, but now I've decided to go to grad school in medical physics.

I would have changed mine. The problem is that once you figure out what your major actually does on a day to day basis you've already committed.

I would suggest that everyone go to the workplace that you're striving for and see what they do. Also, do internships and work study.

Computer Security and Information Assurance. I wouldn't change it, well I might consider changing it if I could do some sort of Complex Systems program.
