POLL: What's your FPS in CS?

I have Creative Geforce 2 GTS and i only get 75fps.. and when i hit TAB for score, it goes down to 65... but with lots of smoke and people in front of me, sometimes it goes down to 40s

You can get beter fps if you go into the com and type max_fps 100 then hit enter my fps never goes below 90 with V-sync on I have it set at 100 in the com the speed of your cpu might be holding you back some.

99.9 - 100.0 almost the entire time. The only time it drops is when there's multiple smoke grenades thrown.

How can I see the FPS I get? I don't expect mine to be that high because I have V-sync on...do I really need that anymore?

Illkid: The reason that you still get 100 FPS is because a value of 100 for Max_FPS is the highest setting that can be used CS. Even if you put Max_FPS 200, the highest that the game will render is 100 FPS.

One thing that I have noticed is the OpenGL and rendering system in CS seems to be much better than HL only. I know that seems funny since CS is HL!

I have noticed that I load up a HL deathmatch game like on Bounce and my FPS will vary from 100 to 60 FPS depending where I am on the map and where I am looking. There are also sparkles and white dots on many places throughout the map. But, I can load up any map in CS and no matter where I am at on the map or where I am looking, my FPS is always at the max (99-100 FPS). And there are no visual defects like the white dots on any of the CS maps. It seems like CS runs smoother than HL.

Is the reason for the different FPS purely a function of the map? Why such a difference? I know that it is not a real good comparison since I am comparing FPS from 2 different maps, but CS seems to better and faster in OpenGL mode than HL only.

BTW, I am running a Leadtek 32mb GTS with the 7.58 drivers.
