Poll: What's your favorite Tool EP/album?

I know a lot of people don't like the band, if you want to argue it, do so here. In this thread, you can say all you need to say by voting for the last poll option.

Wow, I still have the only Undertow vote :Q It was a tough pick for me, I'm a big fan of the band and enjoy all of their stuff almost equally. Undertow was what got me into them though, so it got the nod. At first I felt the same way another poster did about Lateralus. I took the time to really listen to it and found it growing on my by leaps and bounds though.

nothing will ever top aenima.

ever.

trying to release an album after that had to have been insanely hard.

if all you've ever heard is lateralus... pick up aenima. it's 100x better in my opinion.

the older albums are worth it as well... but not nearly as good.

i was not that impressed with lateralus. alot of the dark mysticism/art of the band seemed missing from that album.

toss up between Lateralus and Ænima

i voted for Lateralus

ass some other ATer put it Lateralus is pure sonic genius

Lat.

I like the eastern vibes, and it seems as if Maynard finally moved beyond the whiny goth-whiteboy act.

 Maynard. Hopefully the next album continues the trend.

ughhh, so many votes for lateralus

i was thinking that as well. i rank it last out of all their work.

I used to feel that way as well. Give it a really good listen, see if it grows on you. You may want to skip Schism, I know I generally do. Not that it's a bad song, but hearing it 5,000,000 times on the radio kinda ruined it for me. Some of my favorite songs are on this CD, such as The Grudge and Parabola.

Wow, making this thread inspired me to give it all a good listen again. Lateralus really is a great album, I wouldn't believe that anyone could think otherwise if I hadn't thought so myself. Reflection - another great tune. Everyone who likes either one cd of theirs or another, I'd advise you to give a listen to their other stuff - especially Opiate & Undertow, since they seem so underappreciated. The title tracks to both albums are phenomenal.

undertow is a close second for me.

so many good songs on there.

oh and... i'll dig out lateralus this weekend and give it a good listen.
