I said email because my popup blocker works against popups but the hotmail filter doesn't for email spam. If I had my own accuont I swear I'd write my own damn filter. I need to ditch twatmail!

Spam is easily contained and easily deleted...pop-ups (even with pop-up stoppers) take focus away from the browser after they're removed.

Wouldn't you say it was easier to block pop-ups?

Deleting spam email is generally a manual process. Most pop-up blocking software does it's job with no human interaction.

It's just that little flash of the window that shows up and goes away. And, sometimes, a script error shows up as the window is cleared maybe while a script is running? REALLY hate that.

For my email, Spam Assassin grabs everything and I just highlight them all and <Shift-Delete>

I'd say overall, spam is worse worldwide. However, I get more popups than spam.

Mozilla won't even allow the pop-ups to load, so there is no windows flashing or anything. It's like pop-ups don't even exist.

Wow... maybe install adaware and spybot.... if you're getting more popups than spam, your email addy must be very new, you must have great spam blocking filters, or.... You've got spyware running on your computer.

i agree with conjur here, and spam is ez to delete b/c i just click delete all in my junk mail folder. The junk mail doesnt catch all spam, but 80% of it. So i only manually remove a few spam emails a day.
