Well?

"I didn't study for that test, I had to wing it." becomes ""I didn't study for that test, I (winged/wung/wang/X) it."

i dont think there is a word for that. the example you used is already past tense. maybe its the same both ways?

"im not going to study for that test, ill just wing it"
