Collecting by far. Even if it's not rare stamps etc, collecting can quickly run up the cost.

All my hobbies are on the expensive side. Computers, paintball, firearms.
 

My djing was expensive when it was a hobby.
When it turned profiatable it wasn't as bad.

Car racing, like in SCCA, SPEED, or in other sanctioned leagues out there. If you are a full team, it will cost upwards of $500k a year.

Yea that Space Flight project was a pretty expensive hobby even for the winner.

That's what I was gonna say. My dad's friend's "entry level" 52 foot yacht cost $400,000 to buy, and costs something like $1500 to fill up with diesel, on which I don't think it even gets 1mpg. I'd guess maintenance isn't cheap, either.
