So what's the best sporting event to attend?

I've only been to basketball games and one college football game.

Baseball?!?!?

"...and now there's a beach ball on the field, and the ball boys are discussing which one of them's gonna go get it."

"I never realized just how boring this game really is."

Hockey ownz all for watching a live event. I just got back from my college's hockey game (UNO Mavericks, division I). There were tons of fights, at one point nearly the entire team from both sides was sent into the penalty box...it was great. Rugby on ice with sticks. Can't ask for much more. :)

Definitely Hockey. I went to two Angels' games during the playoffs this year. Those were a ton of fun as well. Highly recommended if your team makes the playoffs.

Baseball is great because everyone gets along. Pass money down the row for some peanuts and you are guaranteed to get your change back.

Hockey is pretty good too though. I always liked the chill in the air from the ice.

Hockey

I have fallen asleep at basketball games, baseball games & football games. But then again, these were all Canadian teams so they were boring to begin with.

For live viewing, hockey. I can't stomach watching it on TV, but in person it's a completely different game. Baseball is too slow either way and football is actually better on TV than it is in person. Basketball is not worth watching under any circumstances except the NCAA Tournament. And if the choices were watching Chad vs Thailand high school water polo or soccer, take me out to the pool.

As a live sport, hockey owns. There is nothing quite like a middle aged woman missing half her teeth drunkenly yell at the referees. Ah, the cheap $99 season tickets, where the true fans sit.

I agree. Although I'm a football fan and have never seen a soccer game before, from what I've heard, european and world cup soccer games are the craziest to attend. Even though I don't like watching soccer, I would attend a live soccer game just for the experience.
