i drove my 12 year old daughter and 3 of her friends to the movies (they are seeing "Because of Winn-Dixie")

answer as if you were a 39 year old father handling birthday party duty on a saturday afternoon

i have a laptop and wireless internet access that i brought with me (posting from it now sitting in the parking lot)

it is a $2 theatre, no new movies playing, the only other movies are stuff i am getting on netflix soon

I voted 3 but you're right... I'm getting too old to remember when they start caring. I just remembered what 12 was like!

yeah, they did fine on their own
after the movie i let them hit the parking lot carnival, one of them can apparently shoot hoops, she won a giant scooby doo

now we are at sonic, they are eating at the picnic bench while i nef

i played a 1 table play money online poker tournament while they were in the movie and i got 3rd place. the game wasn't done, that's why i sent them to the carnival. i mean, they begged me to go to the carnival and i am such a nice guy, i gave them $15 and 30 minutes of bonus time

they are at the age they want to do it on their own, but still need supervision at a distance. they are behaving

battery is down to 21% so i hope they eat fast

i got banned from watching movies with VeggieFrog and her friends. She got too embarrassed when I cried at the little mermaid... but when i boohoo'ed in front of her friends thru beauty and the beast... it was all over. i was never allowed to stay and watch.

might be different now that she is a grown up.
