POLL: What will this decade be referred to?

Id probably be more comfortable hearing and saying, "Back in 06 things were different."

What about you?

yes, i have heard this used many times "back in '06... blah blah blah" , where '06 is pronounced "ought" , so that is correct

And the funny thing is I meant "oh6". It just sounds more modern. When I turn 75 in 2045, Ill probably start saying "ought6". 🙂

My grandmother, who was born in the 1890's, used to refer to her childhood in the "oughty's". Just a thought.

what the hell is an 'ought'? i'd here someone say ought-6, and have to smack them and sounding canadian. 'OH'... its 'OH'.

Uh, you forgot 1899, 1799, 1699, etc. 1999 was not the first time this issue came up.

you are right...😱

but i'd be willing to be that the people back then probably had more important things to think about than what to call the first decade of the new century...
