Feds can establish a floor. Here’s a good rule, no one should have to wait more than 30 minutes to vote. Leave it up to the states to figure out how. States that have large urban centers and controlled by Republicans don’t care how long black people have to wait. The longer the better for them. Georgia is perfect example.
That would require a 180 degree reversal of a core principal of the GOP aka "conservative" cabal on the Supreme Court. Look at any redistricting case that has come up to the Court in the last forty years-each time they say the courts have no business ruling on that kind of case.

You could be correct though, since this time it would help Trump but I think they will find another justification.
