OK, I work in the science building of a middle sized university. I was asked by one of the scientists down the hall from if I could give blood for a research project today, he said that he had bagels and donuts too for afterwards. I had to give roughly 2 tablespoons.

I decided to give the blood, now my question to you is, did I give the blood to help his reasearch and advance the cause of science, or did I give the blood so I could get a bagel?

When I was working in a major research hospital, we were expected to donate all sorts of body fluids for research.

At one time, I had a butterfly unit in my arm so they could "tap" me every hour all day, and I had to carry a jug down the hall with me to collect urine for 24 hours.

For this I received $5. And then I was told that it was customary to use your blood money to buy donuts for the lab. I did that.

I did it for science!
