I'm seeing 40F/80F on the motherboard/CPU.

Want to know if that is the ballpark.

Have GoldenOrb, Silver paste, additional fans.

MotherboardMonitor. Should I be using Asus PCProbe? (i have a CUSL2-C)

thanks.

Your temps are fine. These C2's don't seem to get hot when you o/c, unless you really turn up the voltage. Are you sure you mobo is 40F?

SlowOne,

Your temperatures seem to be very strange.

(1) The 40F MB is way too low unless you run the computer in a refrigerated room.

(2) The 40F CPU above MB (80F-40F) seem to be way too much.

I ran a Celeron 633@950 using 1.85 vcore. The temperatures are:

22C room/case
28C MB
38C CPU/full load Prime95 loop
28C CPU/idle

The OS is Windows 2000 Prof. The mothreboard monitor 5, Asus Probe 2.12 and BIOS show the same temperatures. Asus CUSL2, BIOS 1005.003. HSF is either Gorb or Alpha FCPAL35t with Artic Silver.

I'm a bit confused here... My MotherboardMonitor (the latest rev) show me two temperature montitors... Sensor 1, and Sensor 2.
Sensor 1 show 70-80F degrees, and Sensor 2 shows 30-40F. I'm not sure which one is which.

My machine: ASUS CUSL2-C, Golden Orb Ver 2, Artic Silver, Cel 633 (@950mhz, 1.75 volts), Elsa Erazor X2, SB Live MP3 Card, NIC, CD, CDRW, 7200rpm Maxtor. Win 98SE.

Any ideas? Are you thinking the temps is high? Have I got CPU and MB mixed up (which should be hotter?)

Should I install ASUS PCProbe2? Does it have dependencys on any other of the ASUS utilities that came on the CD?

I have good airflow coming in (3 laptop fans in (kind of a hard disk cooler fashion), plus normal case fan in (llocated in front), plus normal case fan out (in back) plus powersupply fan which exhausts out). The orientation of all the cables are such that airflow is not blocked hardly at all. The three laptop fans generate a respectable flow that goes from the front right towards the Orb.
